Through advanced treatment modalities, evidence-based training and equipped with the latest equipment, we can tailor-make a variety of specialized programs to provide clients with the safest and most effective means for recovery.

  • Physiotherapy - AFTC's main focus is on musculoskeletal problems, which includes sports injuries (e.g. knee pain, sprain ankle), spinal problems (e.g. low back pain, neck pain), overuse syndromes (e.g. tendinopathy) etc.
Manual therapy, electrophysical therapy, traction therapy, taping and strapping, as well as acupuncture are different treatment approaches, and the selection of approach is based on a detailed assessment performed by our experienced registered physiotherapists. In order to tackle the causes of the problem - especially recurrent injuries - postural and biomechanical assessments will be performed, and exercise therapy will be emphasized as a key component to your recovery.

  • Acupuncture - Acupuncture is good for pain relief, muscle spasm release and reduction of swelling. A number of our physiotherapists are accredited by the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association to provide acupuncture treatment if necessary.

  • Pilates - Our fully-equipped Pilates Studio provides Pilates-based therapy as well as fitness oriented Pilates training. Pilates is a set of core conditioning exercise program originally invented by Joseph Pilates in the early 1920s with the aim of rehabilitation and postural refinement. It is now used worldwide as one of the most popular exercise programs in the fitness industry. Pilates is also commonly used by physiotherapists, as part of the exercise rehabilitation program.

  • Fitness Training - Fitness training is important for clients with musculoskeletal problem. Our Accredited Trainers will work closely with our physiotherapists, to provide safe and effective exercise prescriptions to our clients.

  • Dietetic Consultation - Dietitians play an important role in our weight management process. As some of our musculoskeletal problems ¡V such as knee pain, low back pain - are caused by overweight, AFTC provides dietetic consultation in order to provide a holistic wellness treatment. Consultation, diet advice and education will be used to facilitate the weight management program, and clients' progression will also be monitored by our registered dietitians.

  • Podiatry - Lower limb dysfunctions and low back problems are commonly derived from our feet, and that's why our experienced podiatrist is available to provide thorough biomechanical assessment and consultation. If necessary, custom-made insoles will be prescribed for the correction of biomechanical faults.
